Pretty sad news that Danish author Jakob Ejersbo passed away last night. He was only 40 years old and died of cancer. Jakob Ejersbo was the author of “Nordkraft” (2002) – a critically acclaimed novel that pretty much everybody read that year (ask anybody who worked in a bookstore in Denmark a the time; it really brought in a lot of people that normally wouldn’t set a foot there). It’s a portrait of a generation of disillusioned outsiders in Aalborg, a provincial town in Denmark.
