Auto-Tune The News »

Posted on May 31st, 2009 at 12:05 in Random Creativity.

The fourth installment of Auto-Tune The News by 24-year-old Brooklyn musician Michael Gregory is the best one so far in the “vaguely acceptable faux R&B series” (Time Magazine, April 2009). Certainly well-suited for the “Random Creativity” category on our blog.

Your brand’s own TV-station online? »

23video1

23 Video is a new paid service for semi-professional internet video broadcasters. If you think its too unprofessional to have embedded YouTube (etc.) videos on your company’s website but on the other hand don’t have a signicaticant budget to spend, this might be a good idea. You can customize the look and feel of the video player (e.g. with your own logo in the corner), host a large amount of videos, get decent stats and customize the webpages around your videos.

Plant is a partner of 23 Video, so feel free to contact us, if you’re interested in some start-up help.

James Jarvis’ Nike Ad »

Posted on May 14th, 2009 at 14:05 in Campaigns, Random Creativity.

“As a fan of James Jarvis I was always going to love this Nike commercial. If you can get past the first one minute (yes it does have no sound – amazing how disconcerting that is) a really lovely animation to represent the pain and joy of long distance running. If anyone has heard James Jarvis speak (I saw him at D&AD a number of years ago) you will know is one of the Top 50 cross country runners in the UK which is not surprising given his compulsive nature (he once spent a whole week drawing the hands of one of his characters).”

Burial & Four Tet: Moth »

This doesn’t have much to do with anything, but the track is wicked and the video pretty trippy and awesome, so I thought I’d post it anyway.

Offf – International Festival for the Post-Digital Creation Culture »

Posted on May 9th, 2009 at 20:05 in Agencies, Random Creativity.

off_16

If days have seemed quiet at Ravnsborggade the last few days, it’s because the Plant-team have been off to the annual Offf-festival in Lisbon. Three days of digital communication, culture, creativity, net working, brainstorming and port wine tasting along with 3500 colleagues from around the world.

Among lots of other things, we have seen stuff from the agency Champagne Valentine from Amsterdam, played physical Space Invaders with rubber balls against 15″ inch space ships on a huge screen and spent an hour with one of the masters of stop motion, Pes.

Stay tuned for more additions and reports from Portugal here and on Twitter.
