Adidas Japan goes old school »
Posted on November 26th, 2010 at 12:11 in Campaigns, Game, Twitter.
Adidas and MTV in Japan team up for this new take on the good old stone scissors paper game. Only this time, your Twitter followers are at stake. Simply log on to your account and decide the number of friends you want to bet. Then choose your weapon. Mind you, it’s all symbolical so you wont loose any followers for real. As Japanese campaigns goes this is highly confusing for a European audience, but the graphics are great and the sound effects crazy.

Great news for footie fans out there. Facebook and Nike team up for I AM PLAYR, a social football game (football as in the real, European version). Judging by this trailer Facebook is about to become even more addictive. Game on.

Free Your Voice »

Interesting campaign by Ogilvy in South Africa for Halls. Based on the insight that Halls gives you your voice back, Ogilvy has created a site where you can free your voice and win your own radio ad – and some cash too. Anyway, the cool thing is that every word on the site is audio and can be used to construct your own sentence to play and share with your buddies. Best one wins. Word.

Fast music makes people drive faster. Based on this insight, Belgian agency Happiness has created an iPhone app that slows down your music played on your phone when you’re speeding. Pretty cool and nice presentation site too.

Nokia Bill Exchange »

Nokia’s new campaign in Australia turns bills into thrills and gives people the opportunity to spend their money on something more funny and pleasurable. Write what you would rather spend your cash on, the people with most original thoughts get their money back. Simple and nice, cool layout too. By JWT Sydney.

Location-based banner »

The Yellow Pages and Y & R Interactive Tel Aviv makes good use of the viewers location in this banner. Simply turn on your webcam and watch the stores around you pop up around you in the banner. Interesting idea, but art direction is a bit lacking, though.

Flying Lotus – Kill Your Co-Workers »

Flying Lotus – Kill Your Co-Workers from Warp Records on Vimeo.
We spoke with Mike Winkelmann, aka Beeple, who created the animated bloodbath for Flying Lotus’s “Kill Your Co-Workers”. The clip features psycho robots who chop off the heads and limbs of unsuspecting parade-goers, which sounds pretty gruesome. But the whole thing is animated in a fun and colorful style that turns the massacre into something hilarious and oddly wholesome. It’s the friendliest crazed-robot music video you’ve ever seen.
Get the Cinema 4D project files from the creator, Mike Winkelmann himself – pretty cool!
