Flying Lotus — MmmHmm »

Posted on August 2nd, 2010 at 12:08 in Video.

Amazing Flying Lotus music video, directed by Special Problems

The concept driving this piece hits you on the head fairly early, but you can’t help but want to join him on the visual ride he is experiencing, starting with an 8-bit game like world, and getting progressively more organic as he progresses. The animation styles are intricate, intriguing and flat out awesome which leave me wanting more at the end. A seemingly appropriate feeling considering the theme of the video.

Fontplore is an interactive application designed for searching and exploring font databases.
Fontplore helps you to easily find the right typeface for your project in a collection of several thousands of fonts. It lets you browse, preview, compare and print the fonts you are interested in.

IKEA Cinema catalogue »

Guerilla promotion teams equipped with powerful portable projectors brought names and prices of IKEA products during the movie on the screen – next to Brad Pitt, George Clooney and other famous actors. This surprising execution fits perfectly to the IKEA principle: surprise the many people with fresh ideas for everybody’s everyday life. After the show they consequently distributed IKEA catalogues in front of the cinema. I love it. But I’d hate it if it was projected in my cinema.
