Sans Flash »

achmea

Achmea is a great example of what can be achieved in terms of a dynamic, moving and animating website without the use of Flash. Believe it or not, this website (apart from, ironically, the opening loading graphic) is achieved entirely with standard html, AJAX techniques and javascript effects.

While there’s nothing wrong with Flash at all (our Flash guys are some of the best, in case you’re wondering), with a content heavy site like this where search engine indexing is so important it’s cool to see what is possible when constrained only to the technology that is built right into the browser.

Of course, whether animation and effects are needed at all on a content heavy site like this is a completely different matter… :-)
